Zonta Club of the Morristown Area invites you to a special benefit dinner

Dina Matos (McGreevey), author of the New York Times bestseller “Silent Partner”, presents her candid story on Wednesday, January 13, 2010.

This event is in support of Volunteer Management Centers’ Women’s Health and Safety CHAIN members:

Join us at Zeris Inn, 372 Route 46 East, Mountain Lakes, New Jersey. The reception will take place at 6:30 pm. Dinner, presentation and book signing will begin at 7:00 pm.

The Women's Health and Safety CHAIN is a collaboration of a number of non-profit organizations addressing the issues present in preparing young women to rise above potential risks that they may face or supporting women presently dealing with significant challenges. The members meet quarterly - face-to-face or virtually - to strategize solutions to common problems, determine the resources needed to tackle their issues and share in the implementation of the plan.

Volunteers will play a central role in the CHAIN by:

- researching funding streams and preparing grant proposals
- planning and executing fund raisers and "friend" raisers
- giving time as hands-on volunteers
- surfacing/sharing research and educational materials of value to members and their constituents
- serving on the Boards of member agencies
- generating publicity about the programs of our members

Free Workshop

Fiore Associates, a marketing communications firm based in Morristown, NJ, is hosting a FREE workshop for non-profits. "Public Relations Boot Camp" will be held on Monday, January 11, 2010 at the Morristown Library.
